Harbrus Games is a project that focuses on developing elegant and deep-designed games keeping every element connected to offer the player meaningful experiences.
Coherence, cohesion, elegance, and depth are Harbrus Games' Core Pillars, firmly believing that no elements should be added if not necessary for improving the game.
The intent of this project is also to design experiences that leave something to the audience: a particular idea, interesting mechanics, a view into more deep themes, a chance to reflect and improve, and much more. The only boundaries are the respect for the product and the players.
Everything mentioned above requires an intense focus on crafting the Game Learning Experience. Indeed, great efforts are always spent towards the development of challenges and occasions in which the player can expand their skills repertoire gradually and fairly.
Playing a game is at its heart an experience of learning and growth.
Harbrus Games is led by Andrea "Harbrus" Ortino, a Lead Combat Designer with a broad skill set in Game, Level, and Narrative Design, Project Management, and Software Engineering. He is also a hobbyist writer and the administrator of a Game Development Learning Hub on Discord.
This project aims to become a fully operating entertainment studio in the future.
